Meet the farmer

Coffee story

"My husband has always been a coffee farmer and I always helped in all stages of production, from planting to harvesting. That is until 10 years ago, when I woke up. Why not have my coffee farm? So I talked to my husband and he supported my decision! In order for my coffee to be special, I take care of it with love and attentive to all the needs of the plant, following the guidance of Coopfam's technicians, doing all the management at the right time. Special attention to coffee harvesting and drying."
- Marlene Aparecida dos Reis Alves
Producer, Sitio Grota Grande

Growing region

South Minas is the largest coffee growing region in Brazil and the world, home to some of the best coffees in Brazil. The region is characterised by mountainous terrain, rich fertile soil and vast natural reserves of Brazil’s Atlantic Rainforest. The favourable climate and relief, together with handmade coffee production, are the secrets of the award-winning region.
